Co-Operation with the spanish association of property and mercantile registrars
Since 1991, under the co-operation agreements concluded with the Ministry of Justice and the Spanish Association of Property and Mercantile Registrars, the Banco de España Central Balance Sheet Data Office and the Mercantile Registries have been working together to facilitate the statistical use of the annual accounts that corporations are legally required to file with the mercantile registry of the province in which their registered office is situated.
The aggregate figures of the database set up with the annual accounts filed with the Mercantile Registries are available in a specific annex (in Spanish only) to the annual publication Central de Balances

The Banco de España and the Spanish Registries have set up the Sectoral Ratios of Non-financial Corporations (RSE) database, which is available free of charge on the internet. The database provides information on economic and financial ratios. These data are useful for a comparative analysis of individual companies, with the aggregate results of non-financial corporations, taking into account their sector and size.
